By the Stupas, We Say Goodbye

By the Stupas, We Say Goodbye

The photograph shows a happy moment beside a line of white stupas near my sister's college in Gedu. I took it last year when I went to pick her up after her winter break. In the picture, she is with her friends, all laughing and saying goodbyes.

I am behind the camera. Behind the stupas, there is a green mountain full of trees. Each stupa has a white body with beautiful paintings and a small statue inside. The sky is bright blue, and the air feels fresh. My sister looks very happy to see me. After months of studying hard, she is excited to finally go back home.

That happiness makes the picture special to me. The stupas stand for peace and moving on, which fits her journey from college to home. Her friends are still around her, but she is already thinking about the drive back with me. In the center is my sister-tired but joyful, surrounded by friends but ready for family.

It is a memory I captured not just with a camera, but as a sibling who came to take her home.

Resolution an Editing

The picture was taken on my Samsung mobile. The file size is 170 KB, and the resolution is 1280 x 720 pixels, which is clear enough for phones and social media. The colors look natural-the blue sky is bright, the white stupas are clean, and the green mountain behind them is soft and real. I did not edit the picture much because the afternoon light was already good. I just made it a little brighter so my sister's smile and her friends' faces stand out better. I also added a bit of warmth to make the moment feel cozy. I cropped the edges slightly to keep the focus on the group and the stupas behind them. I did not use any filters because the fresh mountain air and the blue sky already made the scene look beautiful.
